Arts in Action
Arts in Action summer camp is specially designed for incoming first through fourth graders who wish to explore the arts. Our performing arts and visual arts programs are packed with an array of exciting classes, providing each child a venue to think imaginatively and work creatively in state-of-the-art facilities to hone their craft.
Campers work with Saint Mark’s Art teachers Patricia Bruvry and Karen Klier and Drama teacher Jessica Sage. Every child will have the opportunity to express him or herself and gain confidence through the arts. Campers participate in a variety of different activities, including acting, singing, tie-dyeing, ceramics, costume design, choreography, theater games, candle making, watercolor, mural painting, improvisation, set design, stage makeup and papier-mâché.
Parents are invited on the last day of each two-week session to view camper’s work in the Art Studio gallery and to see a grand opening performance of Arts in Action’s newest play. In addition, every child will receive a DVD of his or her star performance.
