There is an egalitarian, collegial feeling at Saint Mark's. Students in different grades work together in cross-grade activities. They share special projects with other students on Colonial Day and in the Renaissance Faire.
Throughout the year are many scheduled events designed just to bring people together - fall potlucks, the Book Exchange, Trivia Night, Bingo Night, Family Fun Run, Earth Day/Beautification Day, Passport to the World, Grandparents'/Special Friends' Day, the Alumni Breakfast and Graduation.
Beyond the immediate campus, Saint Mark's extends its community to partners in the San Francisco Bay Area and the world. Its larger local community includes the Aldersly and Aegis homes in Terra Linda, Guide Dogs for the Blind, the Ritter Center and the Canal Alliance in San Rafael. The school's global partners include the eSibonisweni School in Maputaland, South Africa; the Paropakar Orphanage in Kaymandu, India; and the Beijing Elementary Experimental School #2 in Beijing, China.
