The Annual Fund is the foundation of Saint Mark’s giving program. The Annual Fund touches all corners of school life, providing funds for computer technology, science labs, sets for school plays, teacher salaries, and more.
As at most independent schools, Saint Mark’s tuition does not fully fund the cost of a Saint Mark’s education and the Annual Fund helps to make up this difference. The Annual Fund kicks off each year in October, and more than 450 parents, alumni, past parents, grandparents, faculty/staff, and friends all play a part in supporting the school. All Saint Mark’s School families are asked to contribute, and every gift makes a difference because it demonstrates a commitment to meeting the school’s needs. The 2012–2013 Annual Fund is co-chaired by parents Jon Cohen and Amie Dewane, and the fundraising goal is $600,000. The Annual Fund closes each year on May 31.
Levels of Giving
* Donors at these levels are invited to the Donor Appreciation Party held in the fall.
THE EIGHTH PILLAR Donors who contribute $10,000 per year or $100,000 over the course of their family's attendance at Saint Mark's are recognized members of the Eighth Pillar. They are exemplars of Saint Mark's unofficial eighth pillar of philanthropy and are honored each spring by the Board of Trustees at a special donor event.
