Campaign for Teaching & Learning

Rationale

As Saint Mark’s approaches its 30th year, it is vital that we secure its future well-being by building an endowment fund that addresses the Bay Area’s cost of living and how that affects the core of our school: our Teachers and our Students .

The Campaign for Teaching and Learning will provide an enduring foundation for three specific needs of our school.

• Enhancing faculty salaries so that Saint Mark’s can better retain our superior faculty and attract new teachers when needed by providing a competitive wage.
• Expanding professional development resources so that our teachers can receive the most innovative training in their fields.
• Increasing student financial aid so that Saint Mark’s can continue its mission of admitting the most qualified and diverse student body.

Most importantly, a robust endowment alleviates pressure on the annual operating budget, mitigating tuition increases and allowing Saint Mark’s to continue to develop and refine its program.
