Campaign for Teaching & Learning

History

Planning for Saint Mark’s first endowment campaign, The Campaign for Teaching and Learning, began during the 2002–2003 school year when the Strategic Plan was drafted. Through the work of the Strategic Plan committee—which comprised 20 members, including board members, faculty, administration, and parents—faculty compensation, financial aid, and professional development quickly rose to the top as issues to address in an endowment campaign.

The Saint Mark’s Board of Trustees was solicited for The Campaign for Teaching and Learning in 2004 with 100 percent participation. During the 2005–2006 school year, the official Phase I of the campaign was launched with solicitation of major donors. In the 2006–2007 school year, we embarked on Phase II of the campaign, in which you—our devoted Saint Mark’s families—were asked to participate. We will conclude the campaign in the 2007–2008 school year.
