Technology
Saint Mark’s innovative use of technology fosters learning and prepares students for life in a 21st-century world.
We use technology to support traditional teaching methods, as well as to transform the classroom learning experience. Over 75% of our classrooms are equipped with digital projectors – letting teachers bring subjects to life in exciting new ways. Second graders can observe animals on the African savanna through live web cams. Fourth graders can collaborate on the perfect paragraph. Seventh graders can trace the Silk Road through Asia. The educational possibilities are infinite.
Our students have access to a desktop computer lab, a mobile laptop lab, digital cameras and camcorders. Wireless access is provided campus wide through our fast T-1 Internet connection.
On any given day, students can be found animating DNA replication, composing digital music, programming educational games, producing videos, building Lego robots, publishing their own newspapers, and more. This hands-on creativity makes students technologically adept. It also develops their communication and collaboration skills and helps them master the subjects they’re studying.
