Library

Saint Mark’s Library serves the school community by providing access to print and online resources and by working with teachers and parents to instill a love for reading in our students. The Library provides a welcoming environment, a wide selection of books and a window to a world that is wider, nearer and better understood with each book selected.

The Library’s goal is to assist children as they begin the lifelong process of discovering how to learn.

The Media Center houses a substantial collection of reference books. A networked campus with high-speed Internet provides access from all classrooms to our extensive databases of online reference subscriptions, all of which are also accessible from home computers.

The Library’s goal is to assist children as they begin the lifelong process of discovering how to learn. The Library works collegially with the Technology Department and with classroom teachers to encourage students’ curiosity and to gradually introduce to them the skills and tools that will empower them to explore and evaluate informational resources independently, confidently and responsibly.

The Library supports the school’s curriculum by providing teachers and students with a collection of print and online resources that support and enrich every aspect of the curriculum and that seek to embrace and affirm the school’s mission.
