Site and Site Permanence
Context
Saint Mark’s moved to its current site in 1991 and signed a 30-year lease extension with the Dixie School District for the site in 1998. This has given the school a greater measure of security and has allowed it to improve the campus significantly, including building a gymnasium and an arts and science building. In order for the school to exist and thrive in perpetuity, however, and to enable it to make the further improvements it deems critical, it must secure its own site.
Goal
Secure a permanent site for Saint Mark’s School. Implementation Steps
- Establish an ad hoc Site Permanence Committee of the Board of Trustees to pursue site options.
- Aggressively explore purchase of the current site.
- Develop financing options for site purchase.
